Why See a Better Minds Therapist?
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. At Better Minds Counseling & Services, our team of licensed therapists is committed to helping adults feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. They are also thoroughly vetted before joining the team!
Our therapists specialize in helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, and ADHD. We combine compassion with evidence-based therapy approaches so that treatment is both supportive and effective.
Specialized Expertise That Makes a Difference
One of the most important parts of therapy is finding the right therapist for you, someone who has specialized training in the concerns you’re facing and who feels like a good personal fit. Research shows that the relationship you build with your therapist is one of the most powerful predictors of progress in therapy.
At Better Minds, our clinicians bring advanced training in approaches such as:
• Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and intrusive thoughts
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, self-harm urges, and interpersonal conflict
• Internal Family Systems (IFS) for inner conflict, self-compassion, and complex trauma
• Somatic-Focused Approaches for nervous system regulation and body-based trauma processing
• Attachment-Focused Therapy for relationship patterns and early attachment wounds
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for values-based living and emotional flexibility
• Trauma-informed therapy for survivors of abuse, assault, and difficult life experiences
• and more
Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, our therapists tailor treatment to meet your unique goals and experiences.
A Collaborative and Supportive Therapy Experience
We believe therapy works best when it feels like a collaborative partnership. Our therapists create a space that is warm, non-judgmental, and grounded in respect for your story and strengths.
Clients often come to us feeling stuck in patterns such as:
• Constant worry or overthinking
• Intrusive thoughts or compulsions
• Difficulty trusting themselves or their decisions
• Emotional burnout or feeling overwhelmed
• Relationship struggles or past trauma
Together, we work to better understand what is happening and develop practical strategies to help you feel more confident, grounded, and aligned with your values.
Therapy That Is Accessible and Flexible
Better Minds offers virtual therapy for adults across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, making it easier to access specialized care without long commutes or limited local options.
Online therapy allows you to receive support from the comfort of your own space while still building a meaningful connection with your therapist.
Finding the Right Therapist Matters
The relationship between you and your therapist is one of the strongest predictors of success in therapy. That’s why we offer free 15-minute intro meetings with our therapists. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, learn about their approach, and see if the connection feels like a good fit.
If you're unsure which therapist might be right for you, our team is happy to help guide you toward the clinician who best matches your needs.
You deserve therapy that feels supportive, personalized, and effective, and our team at Better Minds Counseling & Services is here to help you take the next step.
FAQs
-
Select a therapist above and visit their profile page to request a consultation directly, or contact us and our team will connect you with the right fit.
-
Fit matters more than almost anything else in therapy outcomes. Every therapist on our team offers a free 15-minute intro consultation, so you can ask questions, hear how they work, and see how the connection feels before committing. You can schedule your free consult with a therapist by clicking on their individual therapist page and reviewing their calendar.
If you're not sure where to start, contact us, and we'll help match you based on what you're working through.
-
That's completely okay — you don't need to walk in with a diagnosis or a treatment plan. During your free intro consultation, your therapist will ask about what's bringing you in and help identify an approach that fits, whether that's CBT, ERP, EMDR, IFS, or another modality.
Many people start therapy with a general sense that something isn't working, not a specific label, and that's a perfectly good place to begin.
-
Licensure varies by therapist. Kelsey Nelson in DE and PA; Erik Osterlund, Ioana Neagoe, and Roni Evans are each licensed in PA. And rittany Webb is licensed in MD, NJ, PA, and VA.
Check each therapist's profile above for their specific licensure.
-
Absolutely! Therapy is a relationship, and it's normal for fit to not click right away. If you'd like to work with a different clinician on our team, just let us know — we want you to have the best possible experience, not just a scheduled appointment.
You can let us know by contacting our admin at info@betterminds-counseling.com
